Many thanks to everyone who came to America Hall today for the 2023 DCCA Team Quickplay – we were delighted to have no fewer than 15 teams competing!
The list of final scores appears below, along with details of which teams won this year’s trophies. (Downend Rooks will be presented with a small separate trophy at the East Devon Congress in recognition of their victory in today’s event.)

Devon County Chess Association warmly welcomes your club’s entries to its annual
TEAM QUICKPLAY TOURNAMENT
Saturday 25 February 2023, 12:45pm till 4:45pm,
at America Hall, De La Rue Way, Pinhoe, Exeter, EX4 8PX
Ample parking available. Venue is 6min drive from junction 29 of the M5, or 9min walk from Pinhoe train station.
Teams of four players. Six rounds. Each player receives 10min + 3sec/move increment for the game.
Trophies awarded to the best overall team, best U7300 team, best U6200 team, and best individual performance.
No limit on entries – clubs are strongly encouraged to enter multiple teams! Non-Devon teams are also warmly welcomed.
Entry fee (pay on the day): £12 per team, minus £1.50 for each junior player (e.g. a team of four juniors pays £6)
All entries should be notified to timpaulden@gmail.com in advance – ideally by 15 Feb 2023, please. (Player names are not required in advance, but please note the rule on estimated ratings in the above PDF document. Please also note that ratings below 1200 will be counted as 1200.)
