DCCA team competing online in the “Easter Team Blitz International” – Sat 11 April, 1pm to 4:20pm!
This Saturday afternoon (11 April), a small team of players from our DCCA Online Club (https://www.chess.com/club/dcca-online-club-devon-england) will be participating in a mini competition called the “Easter Team Blitz International”, organised by the “CLUB League” group on chess.com. The competition – which is the first of its kind – will be an all-play-all blitz contest between six chess clubs spanning several different countries (Germany, the Netherlands, Ecuador, and the UK) – a fantastic illustration of the potential of online chess to connect players from around the world.
The event will comprise five rounds of matches, starting at 13:00, with each match consisting of two games per player at a time control of 5 min + 3 sec increment. Teams can field anywhere between 5 and 8 players for each match, with the lineup being flexible between the different matches.
